Guatemalan Black Beans
These black beans will make you look forward to the next time these are on the menu! The chocolate flavors enhance the flavor in a surprising and pleasing way. These are great with rice or by themselves as a side dish, and if you have any left over, try making an omelets in the morning with these and some feta cheese!

Ingredients
  • 3 cups cooked black beans with liquid shortcut- 2 15oz cans of black beans
  • 2 ounce Kakosi cocoa butter 3-4 tbs
  • 2 small onions
  • 3 tbs ground cumin
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground chipotle

Ingredients
  • 3 cups cooked black beans with liquid shortcut- 2 15oz cans of black beans
  • 2 ounce Kakosi cocoa butter 3-4 tbs

  • 3 tbs ground cumin
  • 1 tbs chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground chipotle
Instructions
  1. Melt the cocoa butter in a saute pan over medium heat, and add the onions.
  2. Add the ground spices (cumin, chile powder, and ground chipotle) and saute until the onions are soft and translucent, stirring occasionally. About 10 minutes.
  3. Add beans (with liquid) and simmer for 20 minutes or so, or until the desired thickness is achieved.
  4. Enjoy! Serve as a side dish, or use anywhere you'd use black beans.
